I spent a decade in corporate before training as a psychologist. The decision was deliberate: to move from influencing systems to sitting with people. I have not looked back.

Over the years in public health and social services, I worked with clients across a range of difficulties. I see how the moments when people feel most defined by failure are often the times when understanding matters most. In families, the person carrying the symptoms is rarely the whole story. What appears as conflict or withdrawal may be connected to patterns within relationships: as ways of protecting, reaching out, or coping that have become difficult to see.

This has shaped how I work today. I wear a relational lens, so that I tune into what each person is experiencing, and what happens between people: patterns that keep repeating, meanings each person carries, and intentions that sit beneath behaviours that have become hurtful or unhelpful.

I have seen firsthand how families carry incredible strength for change. The difficult chapters, the ruptures in relationships, the moments we are least proud of, can become places where growth begins. My role is to stay alongside clients as they make sense of their experiences, with compassion, curiosity and courage. I remain humbled to be invited to witness their journey.

My guiding philosophy, inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi :

People are more than the most difficult chapters in their lives - they grow through it.
